Taken 6-1-15. Exhibit contains Western Burrowing Owl, San Clemente Loggerhead Shrike, and Desert Tortoise. This exhibit complex is composed of 8 exhibits set along a spur path on a ridge with views down to the field exhibits and across the San Pasqual Valley. The complex was opened in 2000 and was originally focused on Southwestern United States species, but the more recent exhibition of ocelot has expanded its geographic focus slightly.
