Front of the old Polar Bear exhibit. It is not large but still not nearly as small as it seems here. Some years ago it was enlarged using a Brown Bear exhibit next door.

Does this 1950's-era grotto still hold brown bears? Since the 2013 debut of "The Arctic Ring" complex the polar bears are obviously found there, but is this exhibit in the photo part of the brown bear enclosure that is actually much larger than what is shown?
There is a grotto to the left of this that houses brown bears combined with the more modern extension area. I might be wrong but I think the idea for now is that this enclosure can be used for either bears and connects with the existing brown bear enclosure as well as being able to be used as an isolation enclosure for the Arctic Ring.
