Copenhagen Zoo - Malayan tapirs

The enclosure for malayan tapirs in Copenhagen Zoo. It's about twice the size of what you can see on this photo, and holds 1.1 tapirs + offspring. Though it's not a huge enclosure, I like it very much. It's nicely planted and decorated. Visitors and animals are seperated by low fences and a dry moat. The building in the back is the tapir/sea lion stable (former hippo house). Behind the black wall is the new elephant house currently (Jan 08) being constructed.
Taken in Copenhagen Zoo, 2007.

I like this exhibit a lot. It gives the tapir an adequate amount of foliage, but from what it looks like, quite a bit of space. Great job.
