The exhibit for golden lion tamarins in the winter garten inside The World of Primates in Copenhagen Zoo, Denmark. Copenhagen has a very successfull breeding group of these. The winter garden is a later extension to the house. It was originally build for great apes (chimpanzees, orangutans and gorillas) but now houses different species of tamarins and marmosets.

The World of Primates houses most of the zoo’s primate species. It opened originally as a monkey house in 1891, received a major renovation and modification in 1928 and was further renovated in 1997 opening with the new name The World of Primates. Over the years many different species have lived in this house.

Yes, but they moved out of the house around ten years ago when the zoo switched their focus to the more endangered species (golden lion tamarin, golden-headed lion tamarin and cotton-top tamarin). The sign where the picture of the common marmosets is contains some basic information about marmosets and tamarins in general.
