I don't think that this enclosure is in reptile row actually, which has been exclusively reptiles for quite a while. I'm pretty sure this exhibit was up the top of the zoo, on the same level as the NZCCM and education area. I also remember a tall, densely vegetated cage for servals, and a row of monkey cages along here, with macaques and others (possibly capuchins and diana monkeys). This tamarin exhibit was not along the perimeter fence like the others I mentioned, but opposite them, in the area where the education centre is now (near the otters/red panda). It also held golden-lion tamarins, I think after the cotton-tops moved to the rainforest. There was an episode of The Zoo where Christine Tintinger had to catch a golden-lion tamarin in here, and it looked really small then .
I think it was probably removed when the other monkey/cat cages were, when they built the temporary entrance while they upgraded the current entry. I think this cage was situated opposite where the Red Pandas are now, rather than where the NZCCM is though.
Found a map from 2002 (http://www.zoochat.com/14/auckland-zoo-map-2002-a-223979/#post459169), which shows the position of this cage, indeed opposite where the red pandas are now . Also shows the old serval, monkey and bird cages up the top there, which were all demolished when the temporary entrance was installed there in 2003.
