cottontop tamarin inside the doll-house enclosure

This part used to be the indoor section for pigmy marmosets and emperor tamarins, but now the marmosets are separated at the other end of the aviary part, and the zoo no longer has any emperor tamarins.

So there's none left in NZ? What happened to the last one?

Feel a bit bad for the CTTs, they can't have much room now! Especially compared with what they did have. Any sign of the sun conures or that macaw?

I'm checking on the emperor tamarin. I was told it went to another zoo within NZ, so not sure yet. [EDIT: it went to Mogo Zoo in Australia]

The doll house is now divided in two, so one side is about two-thirds of the space and the other side is one-third. The cottontops are in the larger side with the sun conures and the macaw (and an agouti); the access to the aviary for the tamarins is behind the curtain over the window on the right side of the photo (it's not obvious unless you look for it). They didn't look like they were too impressed with their new digs, and didn't seem keen on being in the outside bit.

The smaller side is for the pigmy marmosets and iguanas, although I don't think the iguanas have access to the outside bit. I saw two iguanas and they are actually quite big now (it's the first time I've seen them the whole time they've been at the zoo).
