While Shalom Wildlife Zoo has many multi-acre, impressive ungulate yards, a large number of the smaller animals are shoved into substandard metal cages. The exception is this glorious Cougar exhibit, which only just opened in late 2017. It's difficult to tell from this photo, but the rock-work in the center is outstanding and the zoo's only cat is in what must be the largest Cougar enclosure I've ever come across. Hopefully this exhibit is a sign of the zoo's future.
