Yes - we saw two - one at the roadside in an area of desert scrub, and another happily pottering around the edges of a visitor centre car park in Yosemite!
It was a good wildlife trip all round - plenty of small birds and squirrels of various types but also Coyotes, Pronghorn, Mule Deer, California Sea Lions, American Avocets - good stuff.
