coyote on burned ground

November 11, 2021, Sweetwater Wetlands, Tucson, Arizona.
@birdsandbats Yes a controlled burn usually done every year in March. This year they did a physical reed removal with tractor in March instead. However I guess it was not thorough enough so they did a controlled burn at beginning of November. It is doen to keep the fast growing reeds from getting to dense so that they can leave some of the ponds open for waterfowl (this area will be filled with water soon - the other pond was already mostly filled when I was therre). It is also done as a mosquito control measure.
