wow!! what a curious fellow and what a suitable name as it does kind of remind me of the Oasis singer although im sure this Noel has a far calmer disposition then the singer , i would love to see this species , i have to save up to take my spouse and children to see the United kingdom and the Aspinall parks , there just isnt a zoological garden along the lines of the Aspinall parks here in Mexico or in the United states

Heh heh, he's actually called Noel because he was born on Christmas Day, but now you mention it I can see a resemblance. :)

Have they obtained any more female's yet? I know they had one from Paris that died shortly after arriving.

Female Sifakas are like hen's teeth. According to the director of Mulhouse Zoo Belfast's one is the only realistic breeding female in Europe at the moment.

It's already there, in quarantine behind the Lar Gibbon/Langur house, with its own Ring-tailed Lemur companion, same as the on-show animal! Managed to catch a glimpse through the window the other week. :)

Its a male Im told, and the already there male is to be released into the walkthrough?

We asked a few people about this and it seems to be the case that the helpers in the Madagascar enclosure think this will happen, while the keepers say absolutely never! I'm inclined to believe the keepers - the animal would be at risk of harm from the larger species in the walk-through and the particular individual is particularly daft by all accounts so probably make a nuisance of himself with the visitors!

You are correct that both Cotswold sifakas are male. :)
