I thought people might enjoy seeing what has happened to the former Suzhou Zoo. It has become a very nice, but very small, park. I never saw it as a zoo, but I do not think much, if anything, remains.
This is the actual site of the zoo? (It was located within a park area - see map below). I wouldn't recognise it if everything had been removed of course but those trees look like they would have had to put them in as full trees rather than planting saplings.
Yes that's the one (it's still marked on Google Maps). As you'll know it's on a sort of island feature.
The transplanting of fully grown trees is very common in new parks in China.
