02/13/2024 - Without the warm season foliage, this abandoned exhibit becomes more visible. This was previously home to Gopher Tortoise and Florida Box Turtle.
At first, I thought it was seasonal as well as I usually visit in the spring or fall, but even on my visit from last June, the exhibit sat unused and unmaintained. I believe this exhibit hasn't been used since 2018, as that was the last year I can confirm that this exhibit was used and signed.
It seems the zoo simply choose to no longer use this exhibit. I wouldn't know the reasoning behind that.
