Dagu spent 6 months in Quarantine after arriving from Dresden

I think Dagu had a couple of homes in between leaving Dresden and going to Dudley and then Jersey? Where was this photo taken?

Totally mixed up this post I wonderd why degus needed 6 months quarantine when my local pet shop used to sell them.

There are photos of Dagu at a much later stage at Dudley Zoo, in that Gallery, he was there for just a few months in 1997/8 before going to Jersey.

Fantastic! Thank you so much for posting this... he looks quite different these days, being magnificently fully 'flanged' and very shaggy, coat wise.

He's about to be a father again (x2) in April and May, respectively.

Ideally, I'd love to make a timeline using various stages of his development. I would, of course credit the photographer.

Incidentally, the other day I came across a whole double filing cabinet full of negative film. No-one here has any idea what's on it, although it looks to be of the animal collection from around the 60's or 70's. I've begun looking for someone to process it before it gets too old and damaged.. but I hope to be able to share any poignant pics from the find in the next month or so!
