A really attractive species, i think Dublin held them at one time, but for a short time, i think it is when the new African plains area opened.

Didn't Twycross house these a few years back aswell?

A shame and rather a suprise that they arent kept in more collections really - they're a really beautiful species. The same can be said for Gazelles on the whole I suppose, really poorly represnted these days.

Twycross had Mhorr Gazelles (Nanger dama mhorr) rather than Dama (Nanger dama ruficollis). Twycross' animals are now at Woburn. Belfast also has mhorr, I think.

EDIT: Just checked and neither ISIS nor zootierliste lists Belfast has having Mhorr at the moment - looks like I'm behind the times there!

Ah right. Thanks for clearing that up for me, never been too clear about the Mhorr/Dama situation.
I hadnt a clue there were still Mhorr's at Woburn and Belfast though. I take my statement about struggling Gazelles back then, I was under the impression it was only Marwell and the Arabians at Blackpool as the only Gazelles in the UK.
