Damaraland Meyer's parrot (Poicephalus meyeri damarensis)

Subspecies from southwestern Africa, particularly northern Namibia as well as parts of Angola and Botswana. This subspecies is among a few within the species that don't have yellow forehead.

The scientific name damara are derived from the Damaran people of Namibia, while Damaraland derived from an former Bantustan, reservations for indigenous Africans created by the Apartheid government, in modern-day Namibia.

@Dr. Loxodonta yes as recorded in Zootierliste too, I do wonder how this facility got their hands on this subspecies :p

Though, with the presence of an second individual in the same aviary that is confirmed to be an subspecific hybrid, either it came alongside the pure damarensis or hatched there, I'm afraid they might don't realize how species this individual is.
