Dark Corridor In the Bird House

The small, brightly lit areas have no windows or bars separating them from the visitor area but the small waxbills/finches which live in them don't fly out into the visitor area which is very dark (though the birds will fly out and fly between sections briefly).

Enclosures on the left section of the bird house as you enter (each enclosure in a different paragraph)

Red-tailed Laughingthrush, Common Hill Myna

Gouldian Finch

Lilac-breasted Roller, Speckled Mousebird, Golden-breasted Starling, Black Crake, Yellow-crowned Bishop, Blacksmith Plover, Yellow-fronted Canary and Snowy-crowned Robin-chat.

White-rumped Shama, Red Adavat.

Goldie's Lorikeet

Green Honeycreeper, Green Aracari, Red-cowled Cardinal, Painted Bunting, Sunbittern, Ultramarine Grosbeak, Brazilian Tanager, California Quail.

Star Finch, Red-browed Firetail

Barred Buttonquail, Common Waxbill, Red-whiskered Bulbul

Mindanao Bleeding-heart, Red-billed Leiothrix, Chestnut-bellied Sandgrouse, Crested Wood Partridge, Emerald Dove, Asian Fairy Bluebird, Timor Zebra Finch, Goldie's Lorikeet, Black-headed Manakin.


Dark Corridor:

Orange-breasted Waxbill, Common Waxbill, Red Adavat, Red-cheeked Cordon-bleu, Star Finch, Scaly-breasted Munia, Cut-throat Finch, Red-throated Parrotfinch, Long-tailed Finch, Red-browed Firetail, Gouldian Finch, Double-barred Finch and one additional species but the light illuminating the sign was off so I couldn't read it at all in the dark.


Enclosures on right section of the bird house as you enter:

Bengal Finch

Yellow-knobbed Curassow, Mexican Military Macaw (with outdoor and indoor viewing)


Additional small aviaries around the outside of the bird house (these were not all in the same aviary but I'm not clear from my notes which were together and not):

Hyacinth Macaw, Von Der Decken's Hornbill, Burrowing Owl, Blue-faced Honeyeater, Blue-headed Macaw, Diamond Firetail, Ecuadorian Red-lored Amazon, Red-billed Leiothrix, African Chaffinch, Northern Cardinal, Tawny Frogmouth, Swift parrot, Red-cowled Cardinal, Yellow-fronted Canary, Red-billed Quelea, Sudan Golden Sparrow, Pheasant Pigeon, Mealy Amazon, Congo Grey Parrot, Red-bellied Parrot, Yellow-crested Cockatoo.
