Entrance to Tropical Discovery.
I was at the denver zoo last year and this building is fantastic. Do you or any of the denver zoo supporters out there know how many species it has ? Last year denver zoo did not have a guidebook, which i found surprising.

They didn't this year either, although the map they hand out is quite comprehensive.

This building is all right, but my problem is that after seeing the Lied Jungle at the Henry Doorly Zoo, that's basically all I see in terms of indoor rain forests.

I don't know the exact number of species but I do know that it takes up a large number of the zoos species. If you want to you can go to Denver's homepage and send one of the emails they have on there website.

You have a great point my friend, and in fact between 1992-1993 Omaha, Cleveland, Woodland Park and Denver all opened rainforest buildings! The first two are huge while the latter pair are still very good but smaller in size.

Even though Tropical Discovery is much smaller and not as realistic as Lied Jungle, it has been very great to the herp culture out there. Denver is constantly breeding reptiles and amphibians and has many endangered reptiles and a great breeding program. Only if they got there Siamese Crocs to breed then it would be world class.
