North Carolina Zoo scarcely has a single poor exhibit in the enormous acreage that the zoo offers up visitors, and this Ocelot enclosure is yet another example of quality. Nothing is cheap these days and this particular exhibit cost $850,000...paid for by the N.C. Zoo Society. As well as the Ocelot addition, this year the zoo spent $265,000 on the new Zoofari bus tours inside the 40-acre savanna and an additional $300,000 for "Air Hike", which is yet another ropes adventure course inside an American zoo. Those dollar figures pale in comparison to the $25 million that the zoo will be spending on an Australian/Asian complex in the next few years...surely cementing the establishment's place as one of the 10 best zoos in the country.
