Dhole. November 3, 2019. This was the first time I saw the zoo's animals on-exhibit. They were newly arrived and incredibly shy due to their comparatively isolated lifestyles at San Diego. The first few weeks saw them hiding from the public eye in their indoor quarters, but on this day they came out to explore very early in the morning when I was only me, a couple staff, and a few other early morning visitors at the enclosure. They only stayed outside for about 5-10 minutes.
