Additional notes -
Puma - this animal was one of the owner's first animals, and was purchased over 15 years ago. As the enclosure is potentially going to be redeveloped for a more threatened species, it seems unlikely puma will be kept again in the future. As the animal is now infirm, she has been taken off display.
Ring-tail Mongoose - This animal was one of an initial pair - this animal from a European zoo, and another from Madagascar to broaden the gene pool. The two never bred, and the remaining animal is now geriatric, and off-display.
Viscacha-Rat - at the time of import, the animals were labelled as Tympanoctomys loschalchalerosorum - the only such animals outside of South America. Dispute has come over the animals' true identities, and these may be the more common Plains Viscacha Rat.
African Dormouse - believed to be Graphiurus murinus on import, but may in fact be G. kelleni.
Quetzal - animals were labelled as Pharomachrus pavoninus prior to import, but are now believed to be P. auriceps.
