Dingo 1972

Dingo 1972
This actually was located behind the Gorilla bust sculpted by Hollywood makeup artist Rick Baker, and has now been demolished. It later housed a group of Pudu. Right next to the Black-headed Weaver/Superb Starling/Rock Hyrax exhibit. Just around the corner from the Australian section. You can picture the general area.

I remember that there was a dingo until the late 1990s when the very elderly dingo died. Wasn't the (alleged) kiwi exhibit next door to it?

The Kiwis were in one of the current Congo Peafowl enclosures; the one next to the Black-headed Weavers. Originally they were where the Komodo Dragons are now. At the time it was a remodeled roundhouse enclosed nocturnal building that also housed the Tasmanian Devils.
