Adult male "Yogi" had managed to acquire a vole; he then hared around the paddock with it for several minutes, with all his six pups chasing. Then he leapt up onto the roof of the LandRover, before dropping down onto the bonnet and placing the vole just out of reach of the pups, none of whom could make the leap to claim the prize
Mum "Daisy" just watched all of this from afar . . .
Thanks @hmb_zoo Yes, I was having the same 'problem' (not at all a problem of course, unless you happen to be after something more than a record shot , and it was certainly great to see them all up close), until Yogi caught the vole. Daisy was laid down quite near the fence (nr caracals), but just far enough away for me to defocus or shoot through the wires.
Unfortunately my lens focus mechanism has been playing up just recently, so I struggled to get many decent shots as they all tore around the paddock . Sadly it's about £300 to fix it, from what I can gather
