The Carnegie complex in the Oakland area of Pittsburgh is a grand series of connected buildings that consists of the Carnegie Library, Carnegie Music Hall, Carnegie Museum of Art, and Carnegie Museum of Natural History. Admission to one of the museums includes admission to the other, since the multiple galleries are adjacent to each other.

@geomorph How did the dinosaur exhibit at this museum compare to the dinosaur exhibits at the LA County Natural History Museum and the Utah natural history museum? Is it worth a trek to Pittsburgh for a dinosaur enthusiast?

@geomorph You must visit the LA County Natural History Museum! It has a world-class dinosaur exhibit, a world class Nature Lab about the nature of urban LA along with a garden of local ecosystems, and world-class mammal evolution, African animal diorama, bird natural history, and gem and mineral halls. Plus the California Science Center is next door with a space shuttle and very cool AZA-accredited ecosystem exhibits (kelp forest, deserts, a "Rot Room" with decayer animals, etc.).
