After recently visiting here are some interesting things I learned about Dolphin Cay
- At last count Atlantis holds 43 bottle-nosed dolphin.
- 8 are from Marine Life Oceanarium in Mississippi which was destroyed by hurricane Katrina.
- They have 3 dolphins who just hit 2-months of age and now have been named.
- The youngest performing dolphin I saw was a 1-year-old .
- The dolphins are rotated throughout the day between 5 or 6 exhibits which have a light layer of sand on the bottom and appeared to be about 15 feet deep.
