I see they have moved that odd mouse exhibit with the coloured boxes. Thank god the tiny chicken cage that was in its place is gone. That thing (which held a single hen) looked like something you might transport a small animal to a vet in! It (as well as the wing-clipped cockatoo and the minuscule budgie cage) was the main reason I really disliked this barn.
@Osedax I just looked it up, it’s called “Critter Universe - The Wall.” It appears common overseas too and is marketed for hamsters, gerbils and mice (of which only the latter can be kept as pets in NZ). The multiple “rooms” would create a stimulating space for the mice I imagine.
