Now Philadelphia Zoo is the last american zoo with this species, it feels like yesterday that they were in San Diego, i wish San Diego Zoo could get them back, It wouldnt hurt to bring them back to Memphis Zoo, Oregon Zoo and Gladys Porter Zoo, but going back to european collections, in the UK London Zoo and Twycross Zoo had them, both zoos seem like they could create a wonderful exhibit for Red shanked douc langurs

At the moment I wouldn't trust Twycross with a species such as Douc Langurs, that said its been even longer since London kept anything like a Douc Langurs,so they would need to gain experience with an easier species first,in fact there is only 1 zoo in the UK I would trust with Douc Langur as they already have a proven reputation, with akward primate species and its none of the places you listed!!
Yes it's realy a pitty that this species has dissappeared after several zoos had quite good breeding results with them ! It would surtainly be worth bringing in some captive animals from the various rescue-centres in the home-range of the species to build-up a healthy population in the western world !
Personally if I had to pick another place to keep those guys I'd go for Apenheul. Singapore trusted them with their probiscis monkeys as well (however two out of three past away, I doubt it was Apenheul's fault) and they are specialised in keeping all kinds of primates.

Apenheul would be a wonderful place for Red shanked douc langurs, they have never had them, so obtaining them would be a great oppurtunity for that facility, I didnt know that Apenheul had proboscis monkeys !!!, I guess as a guy very interested in primates, I need to check out Apenheul !!!
