Duivenbode's lory showing its tongue brushes

I have never managed to photograph a lory's brush-tongue before (and I have to admit this was a happy accident).
I had to concentrate so hard to get a decent photo of one of my favourite birds that I didn't see the brush-tongue until I uploaded this photo onto my computer :D
This pair of lories has been moved to the aviary next to the hyacinthine macaws while the mesh of the lory aviaries is replaced. Parrot aviaries, Paignton, 19th January 2017.
