Wild individual that was passing through the lesser anteater exhibit. The dusky-legged guans are very common in the zoo's grounds, as well as whistling heron, grey-cowled wood rails, black-tufted marmoset and Brazilian squirrel.

I'm impressed by the diversity of fairly large species of wildlife that can be found on the Zoo's grounds! It's great to hear that these species have adapted to suburban life to some degree!
@Summer Tanager
Yes, the zoo is a considerably large fragment of natural vegetation in the city. During my years working there, I've spotted so many species... The most frequent being whistling herons, rails, oropendola, pauraques, several species of egrets, tons of passerines and birds of prey (my colleague, @Juan Espanha Moreira Dias even spotted a Black Hawk-eagle on the zoo grounds some months ago!). There are also some three-toed sloths roaming freely through the trees.
@David Matos Mendes Wow! That is truly an impressive assortment of wildlife on the zoo grounds. Because I'm in the U.S., I can only dream about seeing some of those species like the Whistling Heron and oropendolas! Thank you for the follow-up post!
