A new exhibit for African pygmy goats opened in the summer 2018, constructed by fencing in an area that used to be an empty lawn. When the zoo has employees at work, you can enter the exhibit to pet the goats (and even eat your lunch on the benches).
Dyreparken NBV is a tiny zoo in the town of Hjørring, Denmark. Other than a zoo, it's a workplace for mentally handicapped people, belonging to the titular NBV ("Nordjyllands Beskyttede Værksted", "Northern Jutland's Sheltered Workshop") which organizes work for disabled people. Other than the handicapped workers, the zoo also employs one trained zookeeper.
Area-wise, it's - as mentioned - probably one of the tiniest zoos in the world, not much larger than your average backyard, and as such it only keeps around 25 species of animals, the majority of these species being small mammals and small birds. Most of the animals are housed in fine living conditions.
The zoo has free entry and is always open, though to access the indoor exhibits you need to visit when the employees are at work which is during standard work hours from Monday to Friday.
