Early Explorers Cove - Entrance

July 15th, 2011.
I find the baby giraffe just standing in the middle of nowhere depressing. It serves no purpose other than decoration. They could at least put some interpretive graphics on it and convey some natural history and conservation information about giraffes.

Back in the old academy the mounted giraffes were in a diorama in the Africa hall where the penguins now are. At least then they were part of an interpretive ecosystem exhibit.
