Interesting they give 'Bruny' as a seperate Island location. Technically that's true, though its really a long peninsula on the SW coast opposite Hobart which is seperated from the mainland by a narrow inlet of the sea.
Maria Island some way off the East coast is a far more typical island but I'm not sure if Quolls are found there too.
Quite Possibly. Some people say no evidence of them there before circa 1970. One Quoll researcher disputes that though. She also thinks(from trapping results) that they are at much higher density on Bruny I. than elsewhere in the State, and it could prove an important reservoir for them as the main Tassie population has shrunk recently.
We saw them at Mount Field National Park and probably several other places too but the first was naturally the most memorable.
