How beutiful... It must be amazing to see them in the wild... Is it very hard to find them?? or are they quite common?

During my trip to South Australia/ Kangaroo Island, I`ve seen a number of them during the day without searching. I think they are pretty common.

they're one of those animals which are common but you can't go looking specifically for them or you won't find even one. If you're not looking you will find them.

Like most of the animals that one wants to see but can only find trails and nothing more...;) (Spectacled bear, i´m speaking about you)

Echidnas are fairly common, but notoriously difficult to find. However, they are relatively easy to find on Kangaroo Island, and aren't too shy there. This one just happened to be trundling along a very open part of the area I was in, and I saw it from 100 metres away. This is the first wild one I've seen since 2007.
