Patas Monkey Exhibit
This is nice, kind of like Akron Zoo's lemur exhibit. If I am ever near Cuse, I will visit this zoo just to see the patas monkeys. I have never seen patas monkeys, but hope so someday. It is a great photo as well- the color of the monkey's fur goes well with the green background.
Syracuse Zoo, here I come, right back where I started from! :)

It is a very nice exhibit for them especially during the winter when they cannot get outside in the Primate Park. They are always very active and probably my favorite animals to observe. Being a large family group they each have quirks and traits, the zoo also has done a great job in breeding them in the short time they have had them including one born each year the past 4 years.
It is also the largest exhibit in the ecosystems building and was originally home to the zoos White Handed Gibbons. Unfortunately the zoos primate collection has dwindled over the years to just 6 species from a one time high of 10.
Currently the zoo has Siamangs, Ring Tailed Lemurs, Black and White Ruffed Lemurs, Squirrel Monkeys, Golden Lion Tamarins and the Patas Monkeys.
Past Species included White Handed Gibbons, Vervet Monkeys, Mandrills, Slow Loris, Coquerels Mouse Lemurs, and Lesser Bushbabies.
