Kept as a single species flock, with plenty of space, there will still be occasional casualties from fighting. They may be OK with small ducks or swans in a very large area, but would still be likely to quarrel with [and kill] similar-sized geese. In a small area they will kill even pheasants. However, they are a very attractive species and deserve their own accommodation. They are under-used as a zoo bird, where they would be good for African mixed exhibits, and much less viulnerable than the Crowned Cranes that too often fill that niche.
