Eland herd

Bush, West Coast National Park, 13th September 2024
Tragelaphus oryx.
We nearly drove past this herd as their backs looked like rocks in the thick bush. Luckily one of our group looked more carefully and called out 'They're moving!'
I was able to get this photo when they moved into this area of smaller bushes. I guess there may have been 50 animals in the herd, but I only spotted a coupl of big bulls (not in the photo).
