This enclosure has been home to Asian elephants since it was built in the 1970s. Today it's home to three older females and since last year also a small herd of blackbucks. The blackbucks have their own corner where the elephants can't reach them. All blackbucks are males separated from the large breeding group. Earlier they lived in an enclosure together with water buffalo and nilgais, but all animals in this enclosure had to be moved since it was going to be rebuilt. The enclosure is now a part of the large enclosure for spectacled bear built las year.
