Found near the Congo grey parrot and helmeted currasow aviary and the bird house. Antwerp Zoo actually kept southern elephant seals (Mirounga leonina) until 1996 (in what is now the harbor seal exhibit, at some times together with seals and even penguins) and even successfully bred the species once.
