@Ryley That's good to hear. I thought he would've been separated at least when Noorjahan and Esha were pregnant, but that's great for him socially and also space wise.
It would also allow Noorjahan and Esha to conceive again as quickly as possible, and also ensure Tara has highest possible chance of continuing her own matriline. However if Tara has been in with Emmett the same length of time Noorjahan and Esha have (most of the time for the last 4 or 5 years?) then it would be surprising to see her become a successful mother in the future now. Although, I would be comforted to know that she has been given all the opportunity to have offspring at Blackpool that Noorjahan and Esha have.
@Rajang-GOAT I would assume the main reason Emmett is with the girls most of the time is down to Kate, the elderly female. She and him I believe don’t get on well and she prefers her alone time.
Also, about Tara. She has been given recommendations to breed that have obviously been unsuccessful however, since December 2024 I noticed a change in Tara’s physical appearance that could suggest she may be pregnant! Yes, all elephants are round (usually) but Tara is a slightly skinny female and I noticed her belly to be slightly more rounder than in the past. Another big thing I have noticed is her mammary glands. They have developed over the recent months and are very noticeable at this point. The loss of Noorjahan and Esha’s babies is not helping with the worries about this potential pregnancy as it has been 13 years since Tara last gave birth and even then, the calf was stillborn.

@Ryley Wow thank you, hopefully that is potential good news from Tara, Blackpool really deserve to have something go well for the herd if she is indeed pregnant. I had naively assumed that Kate was fully intergrated with the herd and was with them almost all of the time, so that isn't exactly ideal if she often has to be alone, but it does make sense for an elephant in her position and age.
