Likely the first photo of this species in the Zoochat gallery, taken on the second day of their public debut. The individuals in SOA are hatched from eggs collected from an imported king crab. These snailfishes are known to lay their egg mass in the gill chamber of the king crabs, forming a well-protected and well-aerated mobile home until they hatch.
