Does anyone know what used to be in this exhibit? The enclosure is close to the Mishmi Takin/Bactrian Camel exhibit, as well as the Bush Dogs and Brown Bears.
This exhibit was used for the wolverines before they moved to their current exhibit. Their current exhibit was former used to house wolves, but a couple of years ago the park decided to not keep wolves anymore.
@DelacoursLangur I know that you saw this news already, but for the benefit of others here's the reason: This enclosure used to hold wolves, before the zoo had a tragic accident when a staff member was attacked and killed by the pack. The zoo used to have guided tours where visitors could pay extra to enter the wolf habitat, but of course that was a very risky idea even by relaxed European standards. Now this huge space, probably several acres in size, is a Wolverine exhibit.
