Water buffalo in their new enclosure in Givskud Zoo. This is an old rhino enclosure that has been used for several species through the years. The water buffalo moved to this quite boring enclosure last year when their former enclosure was going to be rebuilt. Before, the water buffalo lived in a large enclosure together with nilgais and blackbucks. Their former enclosure is now rebuilt and a part of the large new complex for spectacled bear built last year. The blackbucks and nilgais have moved to other places in the park. Before the water buffalo moved to this new enclosure, it was empty a few years and before that it housed ostriches.
