I've been wondering whether to put this on here for a while now, but this was my final piece for an art assessment. It is based off three different photos (1 of a North Chinese leopard, 1 of an Amur leopard and the third of a snow leopard) which I cut up into equal sized pieces and put back together to form a new image, mixing the backgrounds and fur patterns but trying to keep the integrity of the leopard's form intact. I then removed some of the triangles and squares of image and replaced them with red.

While this is fairly abstract, I thought the drawing had a place on here so I hope it is fine to be posted. As you may guess, the red is intended to symbolise habitat loss, with the square delineation intended to represent fields that have replaced the habitat. Incidentally, I noticed afterwards that a quarter of the image is covered in red, which happens to be the percentage of threatened mammals.

Anyway, hope you like it :).
