A large new educational display now greets visitors the moment they step into the Night Safari entrance. It explains the raison d'etre of the Night Safari - that majority of the animals which live in the tropics are nocturnal or crepuscular, and seeing them at night is perfectly logical.
Some visitors still see Night Safari as "forcing animals to stay awake at night", or a "rip-off" where you see glimpses of animals in half-light.
