I love the "Honk, Come In" sign at the entrance of this zoo! Maybe I'll attempt that trick the next time I'm in San Diego as I'll pull up in front of the topiary elephants and just start pounding on my horn. San Diego calls itself world-famous but they don't have a fanaloka like this train-wreck of an establishment.

I'm glad that you chuckled, and I definitely do not feel like laughing whenever I browse through the gallery of photos of this junkyard of a zoo. It should be a one-time visit for any respectable ZooChatter, as if fewer people tour the place then perhaps it will not succeed financially and be forced to close. Good intentions and hard-working employees do not stop from making this establishment a black mark upon American society.

The shining star of the attraction (besides the fanaloka) would be the Asiatic black bear exhibit, which seems as if it were constructed for $500 worth of wood and chicken wire in someone's backyard:
