what the? Have you not been reading my thread?! I'm so ashamed for you!
It was 48 Ringgitt which is about NZ$17. It isn't actually "too expensive", it was just that I was on my way to Singapore where I had to spend a lot of money on zoos (Sg$118 in total as it turned out). It was a money-saving-for-Singapore decision.
Having said that, it is actually more expensive than Penang Bird Park and, relatively speaking, arguably more than Jurong for what you get in return.
Come on, I was away for three weeks, and catching up on your massive thread (plus all your zoo reviews) is not a two minute job! I think I'm up to post 293, but I could be miles out with that. You were in Thailand I think. I'll get there eventually
I guess if you have already been there then you know if its worth spending your last pennies on or not. Is it actually the world's biggest walk-in aviary? And what use does the term free-flight actually have when describing an aviary???

oh very well, I shall let you away with that explanation. But you could do what ThylacineAlive does, and skim-read

yes having been there before was a big deciding factor as well. If I hadn't previously been (albeit way back in 2006) I would probably have definitely caved
It is certainly one of the world's biggest walk-through aviaries Equally certainly, not the biggest! It is actually several connected aviaries, very large overall but not one ginormous aviary as their claim would suggest. "Free-flight" basically denotes "very big", i.e. not a small standard aviary but rather one which is large enough for the birds to fly freely within. In NZ a free-flight aviary could include, say, Orana's, Auckland's and Hamilton's.
Well, without overinflating your ego too much, the thread is simply too good to skim! Seriously, you could fully publish this and sell a few copies (I mean, its not quite the next Twilight, but it's better than Bill Bryson), I'd definitely buy it!

maybe selling the movie rights afterwards would set me up for a lifetime of travelling too!! Just so long as they don't get that Robert Pattinson chap to play me.
