EPALLAGE FATIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is for me like seeing an ultramarine lorikeet in a bird fair :D
This absolutely mythical dreamed species is, as you suggest, a bit intermediate between dragonflies and damselflies. However, it's a true damsel (suborder Zygoptera). It lives in warmest parst of south-east Europe and in Near East so is not present in my country. It's an absolutely unique amazing species that I love so much and it has been a big surprise to find it as for identification in the Zoochat gallery!

Thank you Kakapo. Didn't realise it was so special but at least it is not so rare as the Ultramarine lorikeet. Saw several of them near a small mountain-stream near Alanya and is most surtainly a lifer for me !

Yes, you know me, I like to exaggerate things a bit :D
Actually Epallage fatime is not rare It's just that is absent from the European zone where almost all European zoochatters live, it's restricted to Balcanic coast and Turkey, and being the only member of it's (mainly Asian) family in Europe and quite distinctive and spectacular, it became one of those "dreamed species", tough not because of it's scarcity.
