I think (and I could be wrong) that this is the old pink rock, in particular the section that visitors could walk through/climb on. In the plans, this section is supposed to be converted into a viewing area into the snow leopard exhibit, which would make the mesh in the picture part of the snow leopard exhibit. I seem to recall that there were pictures taken and posted in this gallery of this section months ago that still showed it pink.
