This exhibit is also kind of special in the sense that it contains an actual beaver lodge (a mound of dirt, branches and vegetation, to the left side of the small tree).
The side effect of that is that the beavers are rarely seen, though. I have for years only seen one vaguely in the viewable den on the other side of the exhibit and never one outside. Apparently they only come out late in the day.
