European Finches

Another transformation at Jurong is that apparently the south american parakeets are moving our of the heliconia valley. Smaller birds (mainly finches) are being introduced.
I think it is a smart move as these are small aviaries so smaller birdwill do better than mid-size ones (I still recall them having Toco Toucans in this area a few years back, quite unexplainable, given the fact that they have huge aviaries for toucans and hornbills)
Also, there are some taxa that are basically not well represented at Jurong and smaller birds is one of them. This aviary has Goldfinches, Linnets and Whinchats
