"Excited" Cynopterus brachyotis / Lesser Dog-Faced Fruit Bat

Cynopterus brachyotis are one of the most common chiropterans around the zoo grounds, the second being Eonycteris spelaea / 'cave nectar bats'.

They can be seen frequenting the ceilings within many of the shelters and huts, are great dispersers of various fig species, and aid in pollinating flowers of several cultivated in-park durian trees.
